The Source

Koh Phangan, Thailand.

The Source is a unique location, located in abundant nature at the foot of Koh Phangan's tallest mountain, and surrounded by lush jungle. We offer a boutique experience in mindfulness, wellness, and spiritual traditions with amazing teachers, facilitated in one of the most beautiful community halls on the island. The view spans over the tree tops out to the sea. We operate sauna and ice baths. We have direct access to treks up the mountain and to nearby waterfalls. Our cozy dining area serves some of the best food, with a vegetarian menu lovingly crafted from diverse inspirations across South East Asia and beyond. You'll be delighted with the variety and flavors every meal.

We provide both a guest use kitchen and operate a cafe providing delicious vegan and vegetarian meals throughout the day by order and with special menus created for our retreats. The cuisine varies daily and customers are constantly surprised how delicious it all truly is!

We operate ice bath, sauna, have occasional fire gatherings and singing circles, special events from time to time, and daily we provide daily yoga and meditation classes, as well as aerial yoga, handstand and movement classes, yin yoga and yoga nidra, and other special activities on occasion. You can go for hikes here in the jungle and up the mountain to the Khao Ra view point, one of best views on the island.

Deluxe Mezzanine Bungalows With double or twin bed, private bathroom, living room, and big terrace with sunset or mountain view. Mezzanine style rooms allow for maximum comfort and space to relax. Each room comes with a private bathroom (hot water),a desk, a fan and is equipped with a kettle and drinking water station. Every room has a porch overlooking the jungle or sea view, in midst of nature, surrounded by the sounds of the jungle.

Sunset Bungalow

With double or twin bedrooms with private bathrooms and a desk. Located on the hillside with a panoramic sunset view. Our Sunset Bungalows offer guests a tranquil, rejuvenating home away from home experience. Each Bungalow comes with a private bathroom (hot water),a desk, a fan and is equipped with a kettle and drinking water station. Every room has a porch overlooking the jungle or sea view, in midst of nature, surrounded by the sounds of the jungle. The bedroom has a spacious comfortable double bed or twin beds. Additionally we have a shared community kitchen, which all our retreat guests can access throughout their stay.

Seminarräume

Our shala is equipped with high quality yoga mats and accessories; bolsters, blocks, straps, cushions, fitness balls, small reclining floor chairs, and a whiteboard. There is a setup and equipment for projector presentations in the shala and in our cafe. We also have a full aerial hammock set up with all the equipment. There are fans, a powerful soundsystem, and a wide variety of lighting. The shala can be fully enclosed with screen doors and blinds for reducing the afternoon sun.

Treetop View Yoga Shala

Our yoga shala is often described by our guests as one of the most beautiful they have ever seen, for both its high quality construction and even more notable it's integration in the jungle and views over the treetops. Nestled in the heart of our retreat center, our yoga shala is around 130 m2, with high quality hardwood floors and a panoramic sunset view of the ocean and islands on the horizon.

how to get to the Source

The Source is located in the middle of Koh Phangan at the foot of Khao Ra, our tallest mountain. It's about a 10 minute drive from the main pier town of Thong Sala which is at the south of the island. Follow the main road towards Chaloklam. Turn right(actually straight but off the main road) at the gate for Phaen Waterfall. Turn left (actually straight) on the small jungle road. In a few minutes The Source will be on your right.

Umgebung

We are at the jungles edge with views above the tree tops all the way to the ocean and the ang thong marine park islands in the distance. Nature sounds of birds, insects, and breeze through the trees serenades all day. There are treks up the mountain just behind our retreat center and a few beautiful spots in the rocks along the water ways and waterfalls.
